Minesweeper that never ends your run

Click a mine and the game keeps going. The cell opens, you lose points, and you carry on. There is no win screen and no loss screen — the only way to finish a board is to press Validate, when you decide it's done.

That one change turns Minesweeper into a game you make progress in even when you play badly. Every board pays out points; points buy permanent upgrades; upgrades change the rules; you go back in on a bigger board.

What you buy

  • Bigger boards — from a 7×7 opener all the way to 52×52, one square step at a time.
  • Find bomb / Find safe — limited-use reveals, for when deduction runs out.
  • Detonate & chain detonation — start a board with charges that blow mines open in cascading rings before you've clicked anything.
  • Shield — a gauge you fill with a clean streak of safe reveals. Full, it eats your next mistake for free. Reach the end of a board without spending it and you keep a +10% bonus.
  • Planets — six places to play, each with its own rule: roaming martians that hide numbers, Saturn's rings, a blinding solar glare that sweeps the board east to west, and a black hole that pushes back. The last one only opens once everything else is maxed out.

90 upgrade levels, 25 achievements, 3 save slots, and a board that stays readable at 52×52. A full clear runs 5 to 10 hours.

All of it, free, in your browser

The build above is the whole game — every planet, every upgrade, the 52×52 endgame. Not a demo, not a trial. It costs nothing, and there is no version of it you have to pay for.

The Windows download below is the same game, and it is free too. Take it if you want your save to survive a cleared cache, a smoother endgame board, or to play with no connection. There's a suggested price of $4 if you end up enjoying it; skipping it is one click.

Controls

  • Left click — reveal
  • Right click — flag
  • Left + right click — chord
  • Mouse wheel — zoom, drag to pan
  • Validate — end the board and bank your points, whenever you want

I like it. I'd love it, if I didn't have to guess sometimes.

I totaly understand, that's why I added the shield that prevent loss of points when you have to click a potential bomb. Thx for the positive feedback

I am confused on how to use the "find" upgrades, both the bomb and the safe space ones.

You have nothing to do, for each upgrade you buy, a bomb or a safe place will be discovered at the start of each new game

ohhhh, I see. I understand now. Thank you!

they seem to auto activate at the start...
